The new $1,000 Apple iPhone X has some security flaws. On Friday, two brothers posted a video on Reddit shows that the iPhone X face unlock works for both of them. They unlock the iPhone X using the facial recognition security option.
“We are not twins, He is five years younger than me,” the older brother and owner of the iPhone X says. They both wear similar glasses. When his younger brother tries to unlock without the glasses it doesn’t work. But when he tries with the glasses, the iPhone unlocks.
As per 9to5Mac, Apple has started the Face ID is even more secure than Touch ID. There being a one in 1,000,000 chances of a different person being able to dupe its facial recognition software. But the company has also acknowledged that the Face ID may be less secure when it comes to twins and siblings with similar facial features- as the video clearly shows.
Until that’s resolved, you might use want to use the old passcode option unless you really trust your little brother.
However, Take a look at this video to see how Face ID works. It’s Amazing!!!
