The next generation Mi Mix was just unveiled by Xiaomi in China. This time Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 launched with the big screen, edge to edge bezel-less display from three sides and 4-sided curved design. Xiaomi already launched the first version of Mi Mix last year that was also a good-looking smartphone with a front bezel-less display. Now, Xiaomi makes Mi Mix 2 thinner, lighter and larger than the Mi Mix. There is also a special edition of this smartphone launch with 8GB RAM & 256GB internal storage, Ceramic unibody and special gold-coated rims.
In design, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 comes with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with the 4-sided curved design. The screen comes with a resolution of FHD+ that is 2160 x 1080 pixels and aspect ratio of 18:9. Mi Mix 2 seems narrower than the other big-screen smartphones, especially to the regular ones that come with an aspect ratio of 16:9. Mi Mix 2 comes in four variants based on memory and storage, in four variants there are three variants that come with a 6GB RAM and 64, 128, 256GB internal storage options. Along with this, the fourth variant is a special edition of Mi Mix 2 which comes with a 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
In Hardware side, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU with 6GB in Mi Mix 2 and 8GB RAM in Mi Mix 2 Special edition, 3 storage variants for 6GB RAM – 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, while in the special edition you get only 128GB. On the other hand, it has 3400mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. In connectivity options, it supports 4G LTE and Bluetooth 5.0 but it doesn’t have any 3.5mm headphone jack and some other basic connectivity options available with this. It also has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.
In optics, it features a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0, 4-axis OIS and dual LED flashlight. The rear camera is capable to record video at 4K resolution and also have face recognition. In front, it is having 5MP selfie camera with face recognition, autofocus, and FHD 1080p video recording capability.
To all this, The Mi Mix 2 comes with at RMB 3299 (approx. Rs. 32,500) for 6GB and 64GB variant, RMB 3599 (approx. Rs. 35,000) for 6GB and 128GB variant and RMB 3999 (approx. 39,000) for 6GB and 256GB variant. The Mi Mix 2 special edition is priced at RMB 4699 (approx. Rs. 46,000). The sale for this smartphone is on this Friday, 15th September and the sale for special edition will start in November.
