Xiaomi has confirmed that the second generation Mi MIX smartphone will be launched on September 11 at an event. The Chinese company disclosed the date of launch in a Weibo Post and confirmed that this event will be in Beijing. Xiaomi has yet to provide information about the timing of the launch, although the company has disclosed that the event will be held at the University of Technology Gymnasium in Beijing.
In addition to the launch date, Xiaomi has clearly branded Mi Mix 2. However, with the confirmation of the name of this much-awaited phone, a picture can also be seen, in which bezel is almost non-existent. According to the first leak, MIX 2 will have 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, which is more than the last variant. Note that, MIX has an edge-to-edge display, which comes with 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio.
There is currently no information about the price of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. Although its price is expected to be slightly higher than the original phone which has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage variants with 3,499 Chinese yuan (around Rs 34,500) while the 6 GB RAM and 256 GB storage cost 3,999 Chinese yuan (around 39,500 rupees).
Like the other premium phone, there is a rumor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor in Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. In addition, the phone is expected to have 6 GB of RAM and a 6.4-inch quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) display. Talking about the camera, the phone can have a 13-megapixel front camera and a 19-megapixel rear camera. So far, it has been claimed in the leak that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be launched in 4GB RAM / 128GB storage, 6GB RAM / 128GB storage and 8GB RAM / 256 GB storage variants. Along with this, the Limited Edition of 8 GB RAM variants is also to be launched. The smartphone can have a 4500 mAh battery. In a previous report, it was claimed that Mix 2 could have 3D facial recognition, which would also be the most important feature of the handset.
