Facebook is ready to launch a new test of short-form video clips in its main app for the Indian market, after banned TikTok. you will see a short video feature named Short videos.

In Short Video, Facebook adds feature as same – swipe up for next videos, like and comment, etc option in the Right sidebar. Facebook also adds features like to help users create and add their own short video clips on Facebook.

Facebook Confirmed

We’re always testing new creative tools so we can learn about how people want to express themselves. Short-form videos are extremely popular and we are looking at new ways to provide this experience for people to connect, create, and share on Facebook.

In the Indian market when govt announce regarding banned on Chinese apps including TikTok, then Facebook launched in the Indian market as a new feature named “Reel” on Instagram, which had previously only been available in France, Germany, and Brazil.

But according to the user graph, Instagram is not as big as Facebook. Instagram has a total of 100 million active users in India but at the time of banning Tiktok had 200 million users in the Indian market. according to that graph, Instagram can’t cover all users with the Reel feature.

For now, the Facebook graph had more than 300 million users in the Indian market, after this Facebook is testing short video features in Facebook app best alternative of TikTok for Indian users.

As we can also check Facebook is not the only competitor to replace the TikTok app, there are also so many companies targeting Indian users to replace TikTok.
